 Spider-Man 3 @ Comic-Con(TM)July 27, 2006
Sam Raimi joined by Tobey Maguire, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard and Kirsten Dunst were on hand at Comic Con to give the fans a sneak peek of Spider-Man 3. The panel allowed the capacity crowd to ask questions of Sam and the cast about the upcoming film.
A lucky few contest winners were even able to meet Sam and the cast shortly after the panel. One of the winners happened to be the Sony Pictures Comic Con blogger Steve Zaragoza. Read all about Steve's encounter with Sam Raimi in his attempt to achieve a near impossible challenge.

I am a huge fan of spider-man and i've been waiting for number 3 to come out. I didn't have the money or time to fly to san diego because i had to watch my mother in the hospital, but if you could i'd really love to get a cahnce to look at the newest spider-man 3 trailer at the comic-con through quicktime! spiderman. what is not to be loved by this wonderful character. Sam Raimi has done an incredible job in depicting marvels flagship character. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Raimi and his love for this genre. Ive always been a fan of spiderman, always from the moment I saw him in one of my freinds comic books I was hooked for the ride. Now next year I await for latest installment of our web slinging hero and from the present trailer I get giddy and jumpy. I'm not to thrilled about the black costume for I've fallen in love with the secret wars version but lets see how this plays out next may. For all you webslinging fans kkep to the skies and maybe we'll catch a glimpse of him just swinging by.

Funny how I look down on all those Lord of the rings/ Star wars fans that dress up and obsess over something so trivial. .but here I am watching the teaser trailer on a daily basis.. writing on a blog and counting down the days until May 4th... The Spider-Man 3 trailer was absolutely perfect. A great way to tease fans for the upcoming film. In my opinion, this will be the movie that defines what Peter Parker is all about. I can't wait.

I can't wait for Spidey 3. Sandman has always been such a tough enemy for Spidey to fight, even tho Doc Oct was his greatest enemy. Venom will be ok, probably not til toward the end of the movie tho, setting u up for Spidey 4!!!

I grew up reading Spidey comics, Amazing Spiderman, Spectacular Spiderman, Marvel Team-Up to name a few but lost touch when Spidey "changed" into his black costume. So basically I'm a "classic" Spidey fan and Spiderman 1 & 2 was great ! Spiderman 3 may appeal more to the "younger" Spidey fans because of Venom's appearance but looking forward to the movie nevertheless

The movie looks like its going to be awesome. As far as the fourth villain goes though, i personally believe since youve already got Sandman, Venom, and the second Green Goblin in the movie, (not to mention the love triangle between Peter, Mary Jane, and Gwen Stacy), putting anyone like The Lizard or Mysterio would be a foolish idea. Villains like that need more of a background, you cant just throw them in there like that. Now someone like Rhino, Shocker, or Vulture would be good, i mean a common criminal with little background history. But hey, im just another fan waiting for the movie to finally come out, what do i know, right?

Spiderman-3 is one movie which no spidey fan like myself can afford to miss. With the arrival of the notorious Sandman, the Hobgoblin and the Symbiote suit, the movie is sure to take its fan to the next level of web-slinging action.The second movie has also hinted the entry of the lizard which Dr.Connors is most likely to be. Tobey Maguire had potrayed the character of Peter Parker in both the movies well and I am sure we have a lot to expect from him in this one. I hope Sam Raimi has depicted the movie in the best way possible, making sure it remains the best among all the three parts. The teaser-trailer indicates that the movie has a lot in store for its fans and I am sure thats the way it would be.

My only question is whethter or not Danny Elfman will be apart of this film or not. If he isnt going to be, please keep the same theme music and hire a composser that is well known and will do this movie justice. I have faith in the cast and crew that this will be a fantastic film.

I think Spider Man 3 will mark the end of Mr. Maguire in the suit. SM3 will serve as a transition picture having Topher taking over the mantle of spider man. This will allow the franchise to grow in new directions and create fresh story lines.
