Grant Curtis responds to your comments

Grant Curtis responds to your comments from the welcome back post...

Welcome back, Mr. Curtis! So very glad that you're doing this blog again. I was just wondering the other day if it would happen, and I'm so happy to see it is. I was an extra for the '2' shoot in Chicago and met/spoke with Sam briefly; his kindness and intelligent conversation appears to be shared with all who work on these wonderful films, so thank you for being in that number, and here's to the next installment of the best superhero trilogy ever and your generous involvement and communication with us fans. Have a great day, and thanks again! ~Ethan Harper

Ethan, Thanks for the kind words and thanks for your work in Chicago. We had a very good experience in the windy city and were extremely pleased with the footage we got there. I hope you liked the trailer and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the third installment.
Have a good weekend, Grant

I agree, Mr. Curtis, wtih InsomniacFreak... an awesome job is difficult to perform but so far the Spider-Man entity remains just that -AWESOME-... A huge thanks to you and to all involved. I will look forward to each of your posts.

Moon, Thanks for reading the web logs. I look forward to being able to spend more time with you guys. Have a great weekend. Grant

The trailer is awesome and I can't wait for the movie. But I'm a little concerned about multiple villians in the movie. I have a small fear that the Spider-Man movies may go the same way the Batman movies went.

B, You bring up an interesting point. I think the answer to this would make a great weblog. Thanks for the idea. Grant

I can't wait for this movie!! I'm just wondering (like so many others)when are we going to see the comic-con footage -- jtownpointguard

Spiderman1990_17, Thanks for reading the weblogs. Hope you are well. Grant

I love Spider-Man! I am the only girl I know who is obssesed! I love Spider-Man and i can't wait till Spider-Man3! Or Spider-Man 4! I have the wallpaper on my computer and I just bought a Spider-man3 poster that i hung up in my room! My room is all SpiderMan! I have a spider-man phone!

Spider-man#1 fan for life, Wow, you do sound like a big fan. Thanks for reading, thanks for responding & thanks for taking such interest in the film. Grant

Great to hear from you! The spidery team missed you. I hope the movie making has been good so far. The trailer out is really a sweet. - Heather

Heather, It's great to be back. The needs of the production and the needs of the book have taken a lot of my time, but I hope to have a lot more interaction from here on out. Have a great weekend. Grant

I Mrs Curtis! i never wrote anything about the other movies because they talk for themselves. i think spierman is the bigest hero of the comics. i colect spidey comics since my ten years old, i´ve watched the old movies, i konow everything about spiderman. i have a question: while you are making the 3 installement you are already preparing y 4th aren´t you?

Eduardo Carvalho, Thank you very much for your posting. This is a really good question that you asked and I think I should address it in a weblog for everyone to see. Hope you are well. Grant

Whoa~ cool! I haven't read anything about your previous blogs since this is the first time here. I'm going to the Wizard World con in Chicago, will anything of Spidey 3 be in display? Maybe I'll pick up a poster if it's available...?I wish you much success with "3", and I hope it blows the "Pirates 2" boxoffice record. hahaaa =) - Jason

Jason, Sorry I'm getting back to you a little late, but how was Chicago. I've never been to Wizard World there, just comicon in San Diego. Thanks for your post & your interest in the movies. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, Grant

I hope this movie ends up being as good as, if not better, the second one. I'm just a little worried about having too many villains in this film. Not to mention how Raimi was sort of pushed by Arad to add Venom to the film. I hope I'm proven wrong

Meph, As I posted to one of your fellow bloggers earlier, you pose a very good question that I will address in a weblog. Thanks for your interest, thanks for reading and have a great weekend. Grant

what about green goblin where does he come in?

Tuhy, I can't reveal storypoints in these weblogs, but I think you will be very please with the New Goblin's story arc in this picture. Have a great weekend. Grant

I would just like to say that spiderman 3 will beat all the films out in like the past 4 years. This could include LOTR, Star Wars, and Pirates 2. I cant wait for this film to come out!!!! It is going to become our national pastime!:)

Derrick, Thanks for bringing your excitement to the weblog. I think you are really going to enjoy this film and I only wish May 4th would come a little quicker. Have a great weekend. Grant

yea, I heart Spider-man...I'm so looking forward to seeing S3 and working on a support crew to help smash the Pirates record...not that it'll need it! Everything looks awesome & hope that this will be the best one yet!

Clarresa, Thanks for your support. It's fans like you that make this franchise really, really special. Thanks for reading and taking part in the discussions. Grant

this movie i hope will be coll

Adrian, I don't think you will be disappointed. Hope you are doing well. Grant

what will you do for the next nine months?

Kono, Right now we are busy working on the visual effects and editing the picture. Soon we start looping, working on the score, working on the international versions. We have so much work on these pictures it is mind blowing, but very rewarding. Have a great weekend and hope you are well. Grant

I knew this movie was coming out soon, but have yet to hear the story line.. My 5 year old is also wondering.

Jesse, I wish I could tell you the storyline, but that would ruin the movie. Hope you and your 5-year-old are well. Sincerely, Grant

heres a question that hasn't been asked... is it ending with a cliffhanger?

JG, Good question, but I'm afraid I can't answer that one at this time. Thanks for the question though and thanks for reading the web logs. Hope you are well. Grant

Hey Mr Curtis, great to see you around! Firstly, I'd like to know the way you're gonna answer all these questions. Are you going to answer them here in the blog one by one or just going to write another article with all the answers? Anyway, thanks for being here with us. Can't wait for the updates.

A Spanish guy, As you can probably tell, I've been a little behind with these answers, but I'm getting back into the swing. I'll answer each question that I can, one by one, but there will be a few that I think are more universal that everyone would like to see the answers to. For those, I'll address them in a web log. Have a great weekend. Grant

I freakin cannot wait for spidey 3! I think it may surpass 1 and 2 in box office sales! This is def the most anticipated comic or spidey film to date. The teaser trailer was awesome, short, but awesome. When the black symbiote jumps on Peter's arm, wow! and the sandman breaking out of the bank, omg! I wonder w/ 3 villains and 2 love interests, how long it will be? 2-3 hours? how can u put all that in just 2? Sam Raimi is a genius,so I have faith it will not dissapoint! I hope in the future we will see the Lizard and rhino!

Venomousderek, Man, thanks for the excitement. We are excited about bring this to you. You have a great question in regard to all the characters and I'm going to answer it in an upcoming web log. Grant

Hey Grant, I cant wait for spider-man 3, venom sandman, and hob goblin, holy crap this is goin to blow spiderman 1 n 2 out into the air

EFFECT, Good to hear from you and thanks for reading. Have a great weekend. Grant

Hi,?Im from Ireland, I cant wait for this film either. I also want to know when the next trailer is released to the public. and Topher Grace is the Best actor EVER!!

Flynn, As I'm sure you've seen by now, a new trailer came out yesterday. Hope you enjoyed it and hope you are well. Good to hear from Ireland. Sincerely, Grant

Where are you mr Curtis, we need information...?!!?!?!??PLEAASEEEEEEEEEE VENOM?!!?

Spidey, I'm sorry. This film has taken all my time, but I'm going to do much better in the future. Thanks for sticking with me. Grant

I think this movie is going to be one big hit and it will go though the box office hits though 5 weeks maybe 6 weeks at the top of the chart

Chris, I'm really looking forward to you seeing this picture and I can't wait to hear your thoughts. I think it is going to blow you away. Have a great day and thanks for reading the posts. Sincerely, Grant

Hey, I'm a first time commentor. First of all the SM franchise the best superhero franchise ever, and I'm sure many fans would agree. Now for some questions:1. Like everybody else, when's the release of the new trailer.2. Is this a trilogy or can us fans have hope for more? Thanks

Anthony, What did you think of the trailer? Thanks for your comments and thanks for your 1st time posting. Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I'll be quicker next time. Sincerely, Grant

Hello Mr. Curtis, thanx for payin' a little attention to the fans!! I love the franchise and own the first two movies in special edition DVD. Looking forward for the big 3. My only question is when can we get to see the Comic-Con footage, or some sort of Venom reveal?? And I mean the actual Venom, not just Topher in mid-transformation. Thanx a lot.

Oscar Oranday, Thanks for reading the posts and being so interested. Hope you are doing well and I look forward to more interaction in the future. You guys make this so much fun. Grant

I think that it's going to be great,I can't wait!

Luis, Can't wait for you to see this thing man. Have a great weekend. Grant

I have no doubts that spiderman 3 we'll be the pinacle of all superhero movies to come. Spider man will indeed set the bar. Espeacially with the apearence of Venom and spidey dawning the black suit. If this is the final, many will weep and mourne the loss of this great franchise. So please let there be sequels. hell it worked for star wars, u guys can surley pull it off.

Jeff, Thanks for your kind words. May 4th couldn't come fast enough. Hope you are doing well. Sincerely, Grant

OMG I LOVE SPIDER-MAN!! Anyway, I am not what you'd call a true fan or anything, but this is like the coolest movie of a comic book superhero ever!! I am kinda embarrassed to admit I like comic books and stuff though, cuz usually it's a guy thing... not saying that girls can't it's just they normally don't. Oh well sorry to ramble but I am soo excited. I wish they could make movies faster! I HATE WAITING!!! And those producer people better make a SM 4 or else I will personally go over there and CHOP THEIR HEADS OFF! Unless of course, they can end the series WITHOUT A CLIFFHANGER- I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!! But I have complete unwavering faith in them due to the most amazing first two movies. Maybe the producer-peeps can even go all Star Wars Saga and do six... if it's not too expensive? Sigh. I could type forever about how much I HEART SPIDER-MAN! Not to mention excellent choice of Tobey McGuire for Parker (MUCHO CALIENTE BODY!!!)?I wish I could talk to the cast/crew. I wish I could be the cast/crew. Oops! Sorry about the rambling! I get so carried away sometimes... :P

Obsessedmuch?grl, Wow, cool post. Thanks for your interest and excitement. Can't wait to see what you think of the film when May 4th rolls around. Be well and please be kind to the producers. Grant

I can't wait for S3! I've seen some shots of Venom and WOW! This movie is gonna destroy records and I'm so glad the black alien suit is being made a part of the movies. Most people don't know about the story of the suit or how it corrupts Peter then moves on to Eddie. BRILLIANT!

Ryan, I think you are going to be very please. The black suit story is classic. Be safe and have a great weekend. Grant

Mr. Curtis, Thank you for the these interesting and informative "blogs". Is there any chance of you guys getting The original live action spiderman Nicholas Hammond to be in spiderman 3 or 4 ???? It would be kewl to have him give hero advice to Peter or?even as a love interest for Aunt May. He could play an old friend of Uncle Ben's. To my entire generation he is and always will be Spiderman. Please tell Mr. Raimi I said so!! :)

Jakeroo, Very good question and thanks for reading. Nicholas is not in "Spider-Man 3," but this is a very good suggestion for the future of the franchise. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend. Grant

Hey Mr.Curtis you care about us nerdy fans!

3rd Generation Symbiot of Venom, …because I am a nerdy fan too. You're the best. Have a swell weekend. Sincerely, Grant

i tink it is so cool of them to do that for us fans. also that they are workin on the cgi for the film. it must mean that some scenes have a ton of action. spidey rocks!!!!!!!!!

Katy, This movie is packed with awesome action surrounded by an incredible, epic story. Be well. Grant

Hey everyone! Im soo excited for Spidey-3 i can't even explain it. I heard in an interview that tobey wasn't sure if they would make a fourth movie unless they felt they had a story to tell. I just wanted to say that there is a lot more out there to explain and if needed, i would love to be the one to help figure out the best story to tell. I love the transition you guys have made from comic to movie and if you ever needed an opinion of what would make a great story i would love to help out in anyway possible. And thank you Mr. Curtis for coming here to interact with us, the overly impatiant fans! As far as any questions, the only one would be the obvious "When can we see venom?" but thats all. Thanks again Mr. Curtis

MarvelFan88, There is one thing for certain, Marvel has a lot of great stories that remain untapped. Thanks for reading the weblogs and thanks for participating. Be safe and have a wonderful weekend. And, believe me, it is my honor to interact with you guys. You're the best. Sincerely, Grant

i am obssesed with spiderman. venom has always been my favorite villian of all times.but i think they bshould just give venom his own movie, while also putting him in a spider man movie

Spyda44000, Interesting point. Have a great weekend and be well. Grant

Hi Grant,I worked on Spidey with you (as Kirsten's stunt double and stand-in). I really miss everyone from set and I can't wait to read your postings about whats going on with the movie in post production. I don't suppose ya'll have anymore stunts to finish.. if so, I'm here for you! Hope all is well, Toni

Toni, You're funny. You did an awesome, awesome job & I want to say a sincere thanks for all your hard work. Stay in touch. You've got my number. Grant

Wow that sounds like an INTENSE shoot. Now that principle photography has wrapped, I guess there's still a TON more work to be done on the film. I can't wait to see the finished product!!!

The Anime Blog, A TON. It's the reason I've been a little absent lately. I've missed interacting with you guys and look forward to the next 7 months. Stay safe. Grant

We have been waiting for the release schedule of the latest spidey movie, we can't wait to see the villain in this episode.

Garry, We're having a blast making this one Garry. I think you're going to be happy. Stay safe and be well. Grant

Welcome Back and thanks for mentioning the Cleveland shooting!

Charles, As you must know, Cleveland rocks! Grant

I can't wait for Spider-man 3!! Venom is my favorite Spider-man villain and I can't wait to see what he looks like in live action.

Kareem, I think you are going to be pleased. Stay safe and thanks for reading and commenting. Grant

Hi, i just wanna know that are we writing this comments just for ourselves or someone reads them and he/she will answer our question when the time is come? Can blog owner send an answer to my e-mail if it's possible?

CBB, I read all of these comments and reply when I am able to answer the question. I'll see if e-mailing you is possible, but I read 'em all. Be well. Sincerely, Grant

Welcome back. Great trailers and wallpapers, but about 85% of the sites' fans, including me, would like to see something with Venom. I've watched Topher Grace on my favorite show, That 70s' Show, and he's very funny and also should play a great Eddie Brock. Thanks.

Nolan, Topher is great and is an amazing Eddie Brock. Thanks for the comments. Be well and have a great weekend. Grant

I´m from Finland and i´m not good writing english but i vant see venom´s face

Sulo, I think you are the first response from Finland I've seen. Don't worry about your English. I'll figure it out. A very sincere thank you for reading. Grant

I just have a quick question that I think a lot of people are wondering about (and I hope it hasn't been asked already) I am a HUGE fan of Sam Raimi's work, I've seen everything he's done (I even got to ask a bunch of questions about him to his teacher from college, Bill Vincent, who I did some work with on a student film) and he has a distinct visual style. I didn't notice it so much in the first Spider-man movie, but during the Doc Ock surgery scene in Spider-Man 2 the camera zooms and the tentacle action are very 'Sam Raimi/Evil Dead' and I like it. My question is, will we see more of that type of camera work in Spider-Man 3? I'm hoping each progressive movie will feel more like Sam Raimi. Thanks a lot.

Joe Ryan, Good to hear from you. I've met Bill a couple times and he is a fine gentleman. There is no doubt that the hospital sequence from S2 was uniquely Sam. There will be some more amazing camera work in #3. I think you'll be pleased. Good to hear from you and hope you are well. Grant

1.I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE SOOOOOO BAD! 2.I REALLY WANTA SEE VENOM(WHEN IS THE NEW FOOTAGE COMING OUT?) 3.IF THEY MAKE A 4TH MOVIE I WANT TO SEE LIZARD&CARNAGE. 4.IS IT TRUE THAT HARRY`S NEITHER GREEN OR HOB-GOBLIN?

SPY D, Good question. I'll try to answer this one in a future blog. Be well. Grant

Beautiful Job Cast and Crew for SpiderMan 3, we got great actors playing parts they were destined to and what a genius director, man they can not stop making these movies until their is a Spider Girl- u know mj and petes daughter/ But Thank You Mr. Curtis for keeping us informed and next to Venom I really want to see Carnage in these movies, I personally think James Woods with red hair would make a great Carnage( Cletus Kasady) or that red haired guy From letterman

Matt, Good post. Thanks for reading and I hope you are well. Be safe and write back. Grant

I all most for got that let the son that didn't like spiderman because spiderman killed his father Green G.,so l would what you to let the son of GreenG,be hulkgobelen. I do think l spelled it out but l think that you may get what l mean. l will be happy to see the next spiderman movie. see you.

Kennedy K, Thanks for your posts. I apologize, but I am a little unclear as to what your questions are. I can say this, we have so much work left to do on the movie that we cannot move the release date, but be patient. I think you are going to enjoy it. I'm sorry your son was disappointed by some aspects from "Spider-Man," but please remember, Spider-Man didn't kill the Green Goblin. Goblin met his demise by trying to kill Spidey. Have a great weekend and thanks for writing. Sincerely, Grant

Mr. Curtis: What makes the Spiderman movies so great is how you and your team "grow" the characters with each sequel. Unlike the original movies of Superman, which got silly in story and character development, you take Spiderman seriously, making sure the story lines keep with the original comic books. I am looking forward to see how Tobey Maquire "matures" in the role of Peter. He is such an accomplished actor that he can delve deep into Peter's psyche. Tobey can say so much without saying a word. We can't wait for Spiderman 3!!!!!!

Peter Parker fan, Thanks for your generous words. We really enjoy making these movies with the great characters that Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created years ago. Thanks for reading and being so involved. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, Grant

KEEP THESE GREAT MOVIES COMING, I'M COUNTING DOWN EVERYDAY, UNTIL IM IN THE THEATER SHAKING WITH EXCITEMENT- YAY i CAN'T WAIT?hey guys just remember get your tickets early cuz this is going to be BIG step aside Pirates of Caribbean

MTSpideyFan07, What did you think of the trailer? Be safe. Grant

keep up the good work i cant wait for the 3rd movie. oh i almost forgott to ask if u were going to make 6 spiderman movies or not?

Thanks for the kind words. Good question. Look for my thoughts on a future web log. Grant

I think these films are great. I could only say what everyone else has said alread lol so I'll ask a question. I hope Venom is a major player in this film but if not, is there already talk of a forth film with the cast?

Good question. Stay turned for the answer & have a great weekend. Grant

can't wait to see the movie and how venom will look like in as a person keep up the good work

Fieldsie, Thanks for reading and being interested. Have a good weekend. Grant

mr. curtis spiderman3 is going to be awesome godd job to sam,you and all the other people that wer involved in the spiderman movies.

Spidermanslinge, We have the best cast and crew you could ever imagine. They are the best and a huge reason these pics are successful. Thanks for reading and be safe. Grant

Hello, Mr. Curtis. I was wondering... CAN YOU MAKE THAT TRAILER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE?!?!?! I have been doing constant research, and I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT VENOM LOOKS LIKE!

Spideyresearcher, What did you think of the trailer? Hope you are well. Grant

Mr. Curtis, I'm a big Spider-Man fan from Turkey and i love the job that you've done with the first two Spidey movies. I'm watching again and again behind the sceen footages in DVDs with enthusiasm to understand how did you achive such a success in these movies. I'm interesting in visual effect works, i hope someday i can be a part of your future projects in SPI:) by the way,?WE WANT A PREMIERE FOR SPIDER-MAN 3 IN TURKEY!!!

CBB, Good to hear from you again in Turkey. Are you studying visual effects at the moment? I sincerely, hope that to pursue your goals in visual effects. It is a fascinating field. Be well. Sincerely, Grant

It's great to see you're answering our questions Mr. Curtis. We can't wait for the movie, here in Spain too. I have three questions for you (that their answers may reveal a little bit of the plot of the movie, but anyway..)?Is the origin of the Venom symbiote similar to its Ultimate version of it?or more like the traditional Marvel Universe version?(I mean the animated series version, not the Secret War one, obviously) If you don't want to answer this question(or you're not allowed), can you just tell us if the suit is just a suit, or is it an alien symbiote???Another question would be this one: Is Venom going to be bigger than Eddie Brock without the suit or is he going to be more or less as big as Spidey? ?And the last one: Is Venom going to have a white spider on his back too, like in the original design?(I'm already supposing there will be a big one on his chest) Thanks for the attention and sorry about my english!

Pakess, Your English is great & your questions are good, a little too good as I cannot answer most of them. I can tell you this though, it's a safe bet that Venom will be bigger than Spidey. Be well and stay safe. Sincerely, Grant

Hey Mr.Curtis, bring photos of VENOM plzz. You have done a great job and this movie will pwn all!

3rd Generation Symbiot of Venom, Thanks for the kind words. Have a great weekend. Grant

Mr. Curtis,?Is the trailer shown at Comic Con featuring Venom even on the internet? Will there be a Spider Man 4? Since Harry Osborn (as the new Goblin) is not going to be called Green Goblin II or Hobgoblin, what will he be called? Why is the movie being delayed for so long? Finally, why are there 3 villains in this film? One villain has been working very well in the other movies. Thanks for answering everyone's questions, Mr. Curtis. Please answer mine too!

SpyderNERD, Great questions. So great that I think I should answer them in a web log so everyone can read the answers. Thanks for participating and stay tuned. Have a great weekend. Grant

cool! I really want to see that film right now

Danni Darko, Thanks for reading the web logs. Be well. Grant

Mr. Curtis, I have no complaints cause so far everything looks great! I do have one question though. When will be the next time fans will be able to see any more footage from the film?

o.c.d. As you probably know, the latest trailer went on the internet last night. What do you think of it? Grant

tobey maguire: the best?kirsten dunts: the best?thomas haden church: the best?topher grace: the best?james franco: the best?rosemary harris: the best?j.k. simons: the best?...?sam raimi: the best?Mr.Curtis: the best?laura ziskin: the best?...?AND SPIDERMAN 3 THE BEST MOVIE OF THE NEXT AGE!!!?I LOVE SPIDERMAN CAST AND CREW... THANKS,WILLIAM13AGESOLD

William13agesold, Back at you - you're the best man. Thanks for reading the entries. Howe did you like the trailer. Be safe and have a great weekend. Grant

G-Money - I thought you were off making a Vampire flick, but it's good to see you back on Spidey 3... Like every movie you've made with Sam, I eagerly anticipate your work. I'm sure this one will be awesome!! I just can't wait until the GFL screenplay is picked up so you can turn me into a star. Good luck bringing this one across the finish line. Your pal - Copey

CABANNA!!!!! Man, it is good to hear from you, but pick up the phone some time and dial! I'm not even going to write any more to you. I'm calling you… Grant

I got to say that this is one of my favorite movies ever I can't wait for spiderman 3 My family and I are very in to it.

Ana Gaitan, Many thanks to you and your family. Thanks for being so invested. Did you guys like the trailer? Have a safe weekend. Sincerely, Grant

Alright I can't wait until Spider-Man 3! I hear that we are going to meet three new villains, Sandman, Hobgoblin and Venom! And of course Peter fighting his alien symbiote. Love Topher Grace who is playing Venom! Just watching the teaser trailer gives me shivers up my spine!

Michael, Topher is the best & makes an incredible Brock/Venom combo. What did you think of the new trailer? Have a great weekend. Grant

Dear Mr. Curtis, I know that it has been discussed on the boards and it has been wildly tossed around by many of the fans, but I think we should ask someone who actually worked on the movie. So my question is, could we possibly see a Venom spin-off like in the comics, or is it too early, or is it just not a possibility? Please let me know. Until then, good job and may God bless! -Jimmy

Jimmy, Good question, but one that I cannot anwer. This is really more of an Avi or Kevin question, but thanks for your interest. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, Grant

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SPIDERMAN 3 WITH THE 3 VILLANS -FROM TONY THE COOL KID

Tony the cool kid, How are you man? What did you think of the trailer? Hope you are doing well. Grant

Thankyou for the reply, I feel really famous now, the co-producer of the spider-man movies remembers me! That made my day.?I will definately keep in touch; I don't think I could ever stop reading your blogs and replying to them, it makes me feel like I am part of the movie. Yeah, I am not sure about the space parameters things either, plus I think a lot of other people are interested in finding out as well, so I am glad my question will be in the blog. Looking forward to it. Have a great day. Joe-calculator2006

Joe, Sorry I've been absent a while. Hope you are doing well. What did you think of the new trailer? Be safe and have a great weekend. Sincerely, Grant

Though I just love Spider man and everything associated with him from the first cartoon of the 60's to the new 21 century revitalization with Tobey Mcguire, I was wondering has Spiderman/Peter Parker ever have a female counterpart as a 'side kick?

Tina T, Good question, but I don't have the answer. Time will tell… Have a great weekend. Grant

Yes! We get to post stuff and glad you can respond. I hope everything has gone well. I know you can't say much, however, do you have a clue why Alfred Molina's stunt man was rumored to be on the list of actors? If you can't say why, that's ok Thank you.

Webrina, Good to hear from you again. I don't exactly know the answer to your question though. Ray is a class act and did a great job for us on S2 and he worked on S3 again. Hope you are well and have a great weekend. Let me know if I can clarify further. Sincerely, Grant

Hello Grant, I mean Mr. Curtis. Oh I hope I can forego the formalities and just call you Grant. It is more personal and besides saves time in regards to typing it all over again each time. In regards to Venom and Spiderman and continuity... If I am not mistaken Grant, it was Jay Jonah Jamieson's son that brought the entity back to earth from a Space Shuttle mission. Then Venom latched on to him, then to Spidey/Peter Parker, and then found a home finally with Peter Parker's rival photographer at the Bugle. Has that progression been addressed in the movie in regards to the comic continuity? How much liberties were the writters and Sam given in terms of Venom from those at the Marvel Uniserve as to maintaining the proper spirit of Venom; and the whole struggle and torment in the evolution inside both Peter Parker the person and Peter Parker as Spiderman and dealing with the infamous line: "With great power comes great responsibility." Thanks for this, Grant and look forward to both your answer and ultimately like the plethora of fans here, the movie itself, wish it would come out sooner than May 2007 though now that we have the perverbial carrot dangling in our collective faces. Sincerely, Bruce Donohue?Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Bruce, I beg you, please call me Grant. You have great questions, but I cannot answer most of them. What I can say is this. Our writers, Alvin, Sam and Ivan came up with a great Venom story arc & I think you are going to be very pleased. Have a great weekend, thanks for the post. And, I too wish we could release the movie tomorrow, but we're simply not done yet.
Sincerely, Grant

Hi Grant, Greetings from Konya, Turkey. First of all i would like to thank you for the fact that you are 'listening' tot the fans. Preciate it very much. We've heard tobey maguire saying the movie is open ended. Don't you think spiderman got enough enemies to make 3 more movies ? Wouldn't it be a nice idea (for hopefully next movies) to have 'guest appearances' of a few x-men? Take care Grant.

Emrah, Thanks for reading these web logs. I am constantly amazed and excited by the international presence. Spidey is truly a hero to all. My pleasure to be interacting with everyone, just sorry I've been a little too busy lately to be as active as I like to be. Be well and stay tuned. Sincerely, Grant

Hi guys?I will like to thank you for all the information given to us in the web page and the videos. It is what a realy fan of spiderman would like to now!

Jose R. Bracamonte, Thanks for participating. A big shout out has to go to the good people at Sony for making such a great site. Have a swell weekend. Grant

Hello all the way from sunny Scotland! Just wanted to say the first two films were class and I can't wait to see the third, the only thing thats bothering me is what the effects will look like on venom. I hope they are done well and not like Hulk was done!

Graeme, Hope you are doing well. I cannot get into the look of Venom too much at this time, but I can tell you we have the best visual effects house in town, Sony Pictures Imageworks (they won the Academy Award for S2) working on the CG version of Venom and Academy Award winning costume designer James Acheson designed his suit. We are in good hands. Hope you are doing well and thanks for your post. Sincerely, Grant

Dear Mr. Curtis,?Wow, everyone on this blog is from Turkey or Finland or who knows where!I'm american but I live in Kenya, Africa. I'm a M.K. there.?I wanted to say that I'm a big fan of Spiderman but Superman was really good! Especially since I am a fan of the old films.?I look forward to the third one! It looks much better than the first two!?Thanks for the movies,?God bless!?-Tayte

Tayte, Kenya, all right! God bless you too. Were you able to see the trailer online? What did you think?

Mr. Curtis, I don't know what to say, but I WANT see Spider-Man 3!! I hope its a good movie. I don't get it. Why next year ? How about this year instead! I don't understand. Well. . . . . I can wait next year. Mr. Curtis, thank you for making another film of Spider-Man 3. Have a nice summer!! -Leonardo

Leonardo, Thanks for your post. All I can say is that these are big movies and they take a long time to make them. We really labor to make them as good as possible and that takes a while. The wait is going to be worth it. Be safe and have a great weekend. Grant

Wow ,dude ,,,,, it's super coool !!!!

Draven, Good to hear from you. How did you like the trailer? Grant

Hello Mr. Curtis I'm Spider-Man's biggest fan!! So tell me Mr. Curtis? Is it best movie than 1& 2 of Spider-Man? Is there another Spider-Man 4? I can't wait to watch Spider-Man 3. Mr. Curtis, the sandman and venom are going to be in that movie? That its! Please let me know!! -Leonardo

Leonardo, Thanks for being such a huge fan. Sandman and Venom are villains in number three. I think we're brining a lot more to the table with Spider-Man 3 (actions, characters, villains) and I think you're going to be happy. I look forward to your thoughts in May. Grant

mr. Curtis,I just have to say after studing the films repeatedly and seeing the teaser trailer i have never seen a film more intesifing. I mean you and Sam, Tobey and Laura I dont know what it is but when you all are all together working as a team it really does all come together. At every angle of the films the acting, directing, everything is just amazing. it really truly couldnt get any better. Now i did try so very hard to find casting calls for gwen stacey because i always wanted to be here in a movie. but im sure bryce does excelent. Mr. curtis you and the spiderman team are such an inspiration on me. You all have made a great impact on my life. I am a struggling musician, and everytime i see things like this it makes me wanna push so much harder and i thank all of you for that. especially tobey because i know he's grew up having nothing and knwing hardly anyone and thats me now, and i hope i can achieve half as much as him. So Please please tell him thank you for me. Pat sam and laura, and yourself on the back for me. I really appreciate everything. Kepp these wonderful movies comming. Thier what motivates me. All i can say is wow. im honered to have this talk with you. ?thanks so much?forever a fan,?Heather?(Fincastle,Virginia)

Heather, Thanks for your gracious and kind words. They mean a lot to me. Bryce is indeed great in the film. Never give up your dreams, and I look forward to hearing your songs on the radio soon. Sincerely, Grant

Hello, Mr. Curtis- First of all, thanks for your efforts in keeping this blog. It keeps the Spider-Man fan base excited about the upcoming film, and truly shows Sony's commitment to the Spider-Man audiences. It's a LOT of reading and typing for you - we truly appreciate it. Second - I'm having a discussion with some colleagues about the SM3 trailer. (Awesome, btw.) In the scene where an explosion occurs next to Harry's head, when you slow the frame-rate down to individual shots, it looks like a Green Goblin helmet appears in the flames of the explosion. I remember your postings about the sound-layering from SM2... Is this "Goblin Face" an intentional layering from one of your SFX team members? Please tell me that it was on purpose, and not just a fixment of my spidey-hyped imagination... Thanks again - can't wait for the film!!!!

Khonshu, Thanks for the kind words about the weblog. If I answered this question it would ruin all the fun you and your colleagues are having. Grant

I was really glad to see Peter use his spider-strength in the second movie. There are many ?amazing things he can do. Will we get to see him ?wall crawl more in Spiderman 3??? In the?movies we see him stick to walls and web swing a bunch but not really see him climb things. He can also leap and we never really see that either. :( Also I'd like to see ?unique camera shots that show the audience just how good his agility is!!! Also Spiderman is famous?for taunting villians with his humor during fights.?Will Spidey get to joke around??? Just wondering??

Jakeroo, In each film, we try to give the audience a front row seat to Spider-Man's unique abilities. On this one, we've dialed it up even more, and I'm confident you're going to be happy as we're showing some of his strengths, agility, and maneuverability that we have not shown before. Grant

I am a huge spiderman fan.....And i have been waiting for 2 movies to see venom. When will there be pics of him or a 2nd trailer?......is venom done in all cgi?

Thomas, Venom is not all CGI. He does have a practical costume that Topher wears. Were you able to see the trailer? What did you think? Hope you are well and have a great weekend. Grant

Sorry, one more question, and I don't want to sound so negative, I love the 1st 2 movies. Is Sam doing too much for just 1 movie? With whats going on with Sandman, Harry, the black suit, Venom, and Gwen. It just seems like he won't have enough time to dedicate to develop the stories and people. That has been the strength of the Spider-Man movies thus far.

Steve, Good question. I'm going to try to anwer it in my next weblog. Have a great weekend. Grant

Hey I dont know a whole lot about Spiderman like the comics and all but I have a question that I hope can be answered, what makes him turn black and original colors at different time does he get distracted like in the 2nd one when he loses his powers or is it because of Venom. ?,thanks

Cam, Thanks for the questsion, but I cannot reveal storypoints at this time. Sorry. Hope you are well and have a great weekend. Grant

steve ,i really dont think youll have to worry about sam not dedicating enough to the story and the characters. he's so wonderful about smoothing everything out. he's one of the best and he knows exactly what he's doing. =) trust me none of us will be dissapointed. i know what your saying but believe me sam will make it work. he always can!! =)

Heather, Thanks for participating. Sam's the best around. We're in good hands. Have a great weekend and be well.
Grant

Man i can't wait till the day of the big premiere, it's going to be awesome! I was left in awe after seeing the trailer. I'll bet it will be one for the ages. This film will be passed on from generation to generation. All we can do now will be to wait until the clock dies down. Wouldn't you agree.

Dear Mr. Curtis,
I'm happy to know you remember my fan name! I think the spidey team has made wonderful movies. I'm not sure if you can answer this, but I was wondering when making the film, was there any Christian themes to it? Are there any of religious affiliation that thought a few old fasioned morals would be great to include? That's what I think is missing from a majority of films. I'm glad that Spiderman movies so far have kept a good moral theme. I appreciate this, and so do young college students. Thanks again!

Nice to see your'e responses back up Grant:) Great work on the trailer, I look forward immensely to the film

Cheers

Grant, is Venom going too be in most of the movie?

Wow this is great. Sorry, I didn't read the rest of it. Too long. So anyways nice trailer, I just want to say that. And I hope one day you can respond to my question I've commented on one of your web logs. Cya.

hi,
the promo looks gr8 i just can not wait to watch it in theaters soon :-p
good work and a super duper hit movie :)

Mr. Curtis, I have a question. I am forming a collection of MARVEL DVDs. When can we expect the S-M 3 DVD to bee released?

fan from rochester new york here. thanks a lot for taking the thought and time answering all of our fan questions! spiderman 3 is definatly the film to catch for '07. love the new trailer! stayed up til ten o'clock at night to watch it! love the cg for sandman. i've been a fan since i was five years old. i'm fourteen and planning to see the movie for a birthday present exactly a week after my birthday! spiderman 3 is all that is on my mind. i heard we'll see a new trailer in febuary with ghost rider. if so, will we see venom?? keep up the great work...Jake

Hey Curtis im glad that you are helping us like our guide to spidey 3. just wanted to ask and can u plez plez plez answer or adress in the future that the black webbings in the trailer are venoms? hope u can thanx curtis u do great =]

Hey Grant,
James Franco has his birthday on April 19th right? Tell James that I have on April 18th. His my favourite character. And in the trailer: "You new this coming Peter." "I didn't kill your father!"

Are you a big fan of spider-man?

My comment wasnt one of those, but WOW, you are awesome for answering all of those!

Mr Curtis, your blogs are a god-send. Thank you for keeping us fans posted on the progress of the film. I cannot wait to see the results! :)

hello Mr. Curtis, i am looking forward to see this movie coming from Columbia Pict.Inc and i have a question? what woulld be different about Spider-Man 3, the characters and the story scenes

Hello Mr. Curtis

I have a few Questions

1. When are we going to see VENOM ?

2. Is The origin Of Venom similar to that of The 90's SPIDER-MAN The animated series episode "The Alien Costume part 1" ?

3. Are my two favorite couple [Peter & MJ] going to get married ?

4. When will we see The new posters for spidey 3 ?

5. Are we going to see some more awesome webslinging action in spidey 3 ?

Thank you Mr. Curtis for taking the time to answer my questions, I can't wait to see spidey 3 [May 4, 2007]

Hello Mr. Curtis,

I was just wondering today, when I was thinking about the movie. Do we know how long the third one will be? I hope it's like 2 hours long but if it's not that's cool too, because the more Spider-man for me the happier I get. Hey would you tell the whole Cast and Crew keep up the good work, the new trailer is awesome!!!!
Thank You

I love the trailer, but I would have you preferred you released the Comic-Con trailer instead, that trailer seemed a lot better to me and it had a split-second shot of Venom.

I love spiderman sooo much!!!! Im osessed with the moives and comics. The movie looks amazing, It will deffinitly break a TON of records. great job curtis, sam, and avi arad!!! Also I would like to ask one question, when will we get new wallpapers and or new posters that will hit stores?

Hey, Grant...

I've been a HUGE fan of Spider-Man ever since the 90's with the animated series (the one everyone remembers...it was VERY short-lived), and the movies have been nothing short of astoundingly incredible in every aspect. It makes me extremely proud to know that a superhero film FINALLY got an Oscar (SM2)...it says something to those who don't have faith in franchises like these...this is the only one that takes everything as seriously as humanly possible, and it has paid off TREMENDOUSLY. I have seen the new trailer about 20 times already (admitting it), simply because it is cinematic COCAINE...Spider-Man 3 looks FANTASTICALLY AWESOME, but I do have ONE question...Spider-Man 2 was pretty intense in almost every quality, from the story, to the characters, to the dialogue, and CERTAINLY the action scenes...on a scale from 1-10, what would you consider Spider-Man 3 to be, based upon the same qualities? (I can guess what you would say, cuz I have a number of my own in my head). May 4th truly can't get here any quicker...You all have done a PHENOMENAL job on these films, and I just want to say that ALL of you, (actors included, cuz the film would be nothing without them) are TRUE GENIUSES!! Take Care!

Dear Mr Curtis,

Your devotion to the franchise fans is not only incredible, but inspiring. Your love for the phenomenon that is Spider-Man is astounding. I'm especially impressed by the way you treat even the most "enthused" fans and commentators with respect and patience.

My question is whether this second trailer will be the final trailer before the film's release. Are there plans for a third (or perhaps an international) trailer?

Regards,
Hector

An alrighty from good ol' dark and wet Scotland.

With the whole Venom "thing". Will there be some sort of "grand reveal" with him similar to what Spielberg did with the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park?

Last but not least, judging by the trailers it seems that the movie has more of a dark feel/vibe to it, is this a safe assumption?

With that being said I'm amped up for this and wish you guys the best of luck.

Hi Grant.
Here comes a little post from Sweden (excuse my english). Something I could discern from your answers was that you wanted respons on the trailer. So here comes some:
* It was great that you gave us an little more detailed view on Peters and M-J:s love life.
* Nice work with Sandman. He really looks cool (people seems yo almost forgot him because of all the talk around Venom).
* It was alos nice to see some "Peter vs. Brock"-clip.

Hope to don't mind if I put some bad criticism here. But I think you should write a blog (and answer some questions) around Venom because it really turned people down when he doesn't appeared in the trailer. So, maybe that should be good so this dissappointment don't start grow. It didn't seemed that you could give some much away about him when I was reading the questions. Thanks for two great movies. I hope the third will be as great as them.

Could you just let Sam Raimi know that when Sony does begin to make a fourth Spider-man film that he and ONLY HIM should direct it? He's incredibly valuable to the franchise and it would begin to go downhill if he leaves!!! Just make sure Kirsten and Tobey come back too ;-) Thanks!!

Hi M.r Curtis my Mexican friends and i was wondering when are we going to see VENOM and the other posters?, i just want to tell you if you can visit my spiderman 3's internet page

i hope you coment me, thx again sr and have a nice day, ansuwer my questions please, oh! can you please tell mr Sam Raimi if Spidey is going to die? im very curious about that since i watch the second trailer of Spidey 3, THX and bye!

Hey, Grant!

I've been I diehard Spider-Man fan since I first picked up the comic as a child. I love the new trailer for "Spider-Man 3"! In fact, I watched 5 times in a row!

Of course, I've gotta be honest with you, I was initially NOT pleased that Sandman was gonna be one on the villains in the new movie, because I never really liked him. But what you've done with him character-wise, (from what I saw in the trailer, at any rate) Sandman actually seems like he's going to be very interesting to watch. Well, best of luck to you guys!

~ Kevin Veighey

P.S. I heard Danny Elfman hasn't come back to compose the music. :( Who's the new composer, and how do they compare in terms of style?

Seriously Mr Curtis the trailer looks well incredible. But please please please explain to me why venom makes no appearances in the trailer. I mean I have the patience of job here. But come on were dying out here throw us a freaking bone... I understand the hold back...but my curiosity is peaked...this is just cruel and unusual punishment. show me the venom! show me the venom!

Does Venom come in this?If he does, can you put him in a trailer?I realy want to see him.And is Carnage coming in this?

If there ever will be a Spider-Man 4... will we see Carnage, because if you have Venom, you have to have Carnage. Will Topher be coming back to play Venom??? Will Tobey and Kirsten come back???

I loved the trailer...it was groovy(copyright Bruce Campbell, the king).
but us fans are dieing to see what Venom looks like. Just give us a little shot or something....ANYTHING!!! PLEASE.

PS:Stay Groovy.

Hello Mr Grant

I love the first to Spiderman films. One question, in the trailer is that how the symbiote will look in the film or is it still in need of CGI.

I don't have much to say because the movies are just perfect. And I realy realy hope that Venom has a big role in this movie because I'm a HUGE Venom fan and can't wait for the release to see him in action. I want to thank anyone who have worked on the movies they did a hell of a job and keep up the good work you guys.

Greetings from a Marvel fan across the ocean from Holland

My God. That trailer was amazing i diddnt even mind that venom wasnt shown (but i cant wait to see him as he is my favourite villain) i cant wait till may and hope that you make more spiderman movies. I am just a bit worried that this one has too many storys in it but am sure sam can pull it off.

hello mr.curtis, im a big fan of spider-man, and a huge fan of venom. in the movie, will venom look the same as the comic venoms? (huge, hulky black beast) or is he around the same size as spider-man and not as ferocious as the comics?

can't wait for spidey 3! keep up the great work

Hello Grant! incredible job on the trailer I looks forward to seeing this film. I Love what has been done with Harry Osborn's charactor, however i hope he's not called the Night Surfer. Do you think Knight Goblin would be better than night surfer. Sam Raimi said earlier this year this is not another Burton's batman WHy tie Flint Marko to Ben's Death its very risky.

i got a question Mr. Curtis.. i saw the new trailer, and it looked very good. I also saw the trailer shown at the comic-con that had a lot of unfinished footage that was finished for this new trailer. To be honest with you, i liked the comic-con trailer more even though it wasnt completely finished. I liked seeing a peek of venom, and i was dissipointed by not seeing anything in the new trailer.

Hello Mr. Curtis! Thank you so much for taking the time to actually write back to all the fans' comments. I know it means a lot to all of us. Thanks for your time!

Mr. Grant

1st of all, the new trailer looks amazing and awesome and I want to thank you guys for bringing Spider-Man to the silver screen. These films have taught me a few things, responsibilty, your destiny and that revenge issin't everything(spidey 3 trailer)...And I personally thinks that Spider-Man franchise is the best superhero franchise ever to be brought to the silver screens

I'm wondering...you guys left about 6-7 months more to go, are you sure you can finish the editing and adding the CGI these 7 months? I don't know much about these stuff that's why I'm asking.

And people are complaining that Sandman killing Uncle Ben is a bad idea. I don't understand why, but if it's bad...then how is it gonna work in the film?

Well, that's all the questions I have. Thanks for your time good day to all the people helping to make Spider-Man 3 a great film...

A happy fan from Singapore =)

HI Mr. Curtis. I love the teaser and trailer, so keep up the good work. In spiderman 2 there was more peter parker than spiderman. Is this going to be the case with Eddie Brock in Spiderman 3. From the trailers it seems as if Eddie will be more of the focus and not venom. I would greatly appreciate any answer that you can give to this idea of mine.

Hi Grant. One simple question. Will the next trailer finally show us all VENOM? I have to say I am very pleased that finally after all these years that Spidey got a live action movie, let alone two going on three next year. And thanks to you and Sam and everyone working on the movie that my dream of seeing VENOM on the big screen will finaly come true. If it wasn't for VENOM in the comics back when I was in highschool I probably would have never gotten out of my learning disability classes and gratuated highschool with my graduating class. VENOM was the only reason I read comics and thanx to those my grades improved and I gained inspiration to do better. I was one of those ones the teachers never expected to graduate let alone go to college, which I did. So I give a very deep thank you for doing these movies and for bringing VENOM to life in the upcomming film. Thank you.

From the trailer, and the blogs,we see the Harry character wears a paintball type mask, and rides a snowboard type glider, and there are scary rumors that he will be called "Night Surfer".

-Why can't he ride the same glider from the first movie, everyone liked that glider?

-And the new suit Harry is wearing is cool, but why can't he wear a Goblin mask with it,and be called Green Goblin,or Hobgoblin,or Demogoblin,or even if you were going to make up a name at least have the Goblin in the title?

-Why would you ruin the character by making him not have a Goblin glider,a Goblin mask, and a Goblin name, when infact he is acting like one in the movie?

Hi Mr Curtis!!!!... I just want to ask you this... Did you know that México City is called the "Spider-man" City???... Here at México almost all the people loves Spidey, and we can't wait to see this movie... But, when are we going to see a Venom (not Eddie Brock) Picture????

Thanks and Saludos!!!!

Hey Grant. Alot of fans on various websites are asking you and the other producers why you decided to stick with Sony Imageworks, a Visual Effects company considered 'lacking'(Spider-man 2's rendering and lighting compared to other films that year, and this years Superman Returns) and not gone with a powerhouse like WETA or ILM who also charge alot less than Sony. Particularly WETA who are known as the best company to do digital characters, would make more sense for Spidey. Unless because it's a Sony Film?

It's great to see you responding to all of the posts, its good to see an understanding and patient person in the world. Anyway I was hoping to see venom in the new trailer, is he going to be in the feb trailer? If this is to help the hype by keeping the shots of him untill its closer to the release date, then you guys know what you're doing, cuz I can't wait. Also I imagine that Venom is taking a while to get looking top quality, so thats understandable. SO is that the case will we see venom in feb?

Thanks, Josh
God bless

Hi there,
I don't mean to sound cynical or unappreciative of all the work you guys have been doing on the film but I have to say I was very dissappointed by the trailer. The teaser was phenominal and got me really excited but the newest trailer left me a bit down. I just wanted to know if the symbiote spiderman effects are going to be touched up again before the release of the film or if that was the final version.

Wow on the the 1st 2 pictures Looks like you guys got your work cut out for ya on this one but looks like its gonna be a winner too, Hope that you guys still at least have Tobey onboard for the further instalments if you guys are indeed doing 6 films as I Hate it when they change the actor in these big movies, 6 is still a good number and so far this is the best super hero series ever

Hey Grant,

First of all I'd just like to commend you for your work on the superb "Spider-Man" franchise and for your interaction with internet fans. Very cool.

I'd also like to say that both the teaser and the new trailer have piqued both my interest in and my excitement for what looks to be an absolutely thrilling third installment. So of course I've got a few questions for you.

The first one pertains to the characterization of Eddie Brock. From the trailer, it seems that Eddie doesn't hold anything in particular against Spider-Man. In addition, his rivalry with Parker seems to stem from the way Parker treats his co-worker when he's under the influence of the symbiote. Now, I know trailers can me misleading sometimes, but I definitely got the impression that Brock was going to be portrayed as s sympathetic character for much of the film: a victim of circumstance and of Peter Parker. Is there anything you can illuminate just a smidge for me on this mater?

Also, what does Sam think of some of the post "Spider-Man" comic book films that have seen release in the past couple of years, such as "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns"? And if you don't know or can't say, what do you think of 'em?

Looking forward to May '07.

hey Mr. Curtis!! My name is Motty and I'm from Israel. I just wanted to let you know that I'm the biggest fan of spidy in Israel (I think :)). I'm 26 years old and I have a GIANT poster of the 1st movie on my wall, I saw 1 & 2 (+ the special features) like a gazillion times, and I don't think I can wait until may 07. I never been to the U.S, and my dream is to come and see the premire in N.Y, will it happen? only god knows... anyways keep up the good work posting your blogs, I enjoy reading them. Send my regards to Sam and all the woderful pepole working on this amzing project called Spiderm3. Love, Motty - Tel-Aviv, Israel.

How are you, Mr. Curtis? This movie is going to rock. But I am worried that this movie might suffer from 'being too busy' syndrome of some kind. There are just so many things going on. Unless the movie is at least 2.5 hrs long, it will seem to be stretched. Good luck!

Hey Grant, hope you're doing fine! I am a fã from Brazil and I can't wait tho see this artwork that you, Sam Raimi and the entire cast from sm3 have done! By the way, I was wondering when there will be new releases about the movie, like posters, trailers, TV spots and news. Please keep me posted!!!

Welcome back, by the way!

Hey Grant, that's me again, one of the thosands of brazilians fans! I would like to tell that i'll be on the first exibition of the movie in my countrie, and i'll even miss school for that.
I'am so confident in you guis job that i don't even need to see the movie to tell that is great. Again i would like to ask you if you can tell us about new releases, from trailers till screensavers, and again i would like to ask you to keep me posted, please!

Stay cool man!

The trailer for Spider-man 3 was very well put together. Like many, I was chomping at the bit to see some official footage of Venom and somewhat disappointed when I did not. However, when considering the trailer WE did get, a number of answers to viewers questions were hidden in the trailer, we were offered some great new footge and even had the chance to spy James Franco in Goblin-esque attire.
Like many, I am certainly concerned over perhaps too much being placed on everyone's plate in regards to the large number of characters both villain and otherwise to appear in this film. I trust Sam Raimi's outstanding film experience and have been a fan of his work dating back to the original Evil Dead films, Hercules, Xena, his work between and beyond. He has an awesome talent for direction and a style that his characters carry that is uniquely his own and never disappoint. Please let him and the rest of the members of the production team know that our hopes and dreams for this series and characters rest in their hands and we all expect and look forward to greatness for a 3rd and perhaps even 4th time (no pressure).
Anyhow, enough space taken for my ramblings. Let me just say that everything looks great so far and we thank you for the confirmation that Topher Grace will in fact become Venom as Eddie Brock in the movies. I had a sneaking suspicion for a while that we would find a plot twist placing the symbiote in another character's hand, placing Eddie Brock in the movie as a distraction and mislead. Would have been great to knock the audience's socks off with something of this ilk perhaps passing to James Franco or even Bryce Howard or Kirsten Dunst to really freak people out but...
Well, again, enough out of me. Thanks for your efforts everyone!

I had my doubts at first, but now that i see Venom is in the film!, i can't wait! My all time favorite Marvel villain. ThankYou so much Grant for putting him in! I really cannot wait to see Spidey and Venom go one on one. Its one thing to see them fight in my comic books but now on the BIG Screen...oh how the excitment fills me. I have one thing to ask of you oh great and mighty filmmakers. Do the Maximum Carnage Saga! You all will make tons of cash, it will be #1 at the box office garunteed and make allot of die-hard Spidey fans mega happy!!
Cheers! The Hard parts over...enjoy the spoils!!

Hello Mr.Curtis.Hope the movie schedule hasn't kept you and the rest of the cast and crew too stressed out.Nyways, I loved both the teaser and the theatrical trailer. They left me wanting more, which is the point of a trailer I guess.I am also an intended film major for college.I was wondering if you could tell me anything at all that would possibly help me further this intended major into a career.I also have a suggestion on what I would like to see happen with Spider-Man franchise.Don't get me wrong.I LOVE the first two films to death. Please respond when you have the time.

Hello Mr.curtis,
I have a question regrading the spider-man 3 trailer. Is the cgi in this trailer the final shot? I mean no offense but some of the shots just look plain wrong. at some points sand man even looks like plastic, IE. Spider-Man kicking sand man during subway scene. I mean they all look great but they arent up to par. I hope these arent the finished shots.
-mike

pS
love the progress shot you had with the black suit getting ripped off (from the teaser to the new trailer awesome)

man i cant wait till spider man 3 i saw the trailer it looks good.its cool how there are three villons in this onei like sandman his perrty cool and venom dam hes cool i like how peter parker faces this new villon i look forwed to seeing this movie

in spiderman 3
great job with the film. I it good to see a new york picture
will the costume of green goblin-HARRY look like what is in the trailer only or will harry get a better looking costume.
He looks like someone jusy wearin batman gautlent spikes on arms, and a crappy hover board and a black surgical mask.

thanks- did not mean to be harsh

I love Spiderman 1 and 2 - my son 4 years old love those too.

Just one request on behalf of all deaf people in England, United Kingdom that please will you ensure provide English subtitle for cinema so we won't all miss out the fun.

Also don't forget to subtitle on DVD too on extra features. Although Spiderman 2 DVD was perfect but there was no English subtitle commentary on Spiderman 1. Grrrh!

there is going to be a second trailer?
and when?

Hey Grant I'v been a spidey fan since forever and I love the movies. I know that you guys could make a spidey 4. But please don't rush it take time off to make shure that the spiderman story your going to tell is the best it could ever be. Also make shure that the cast is the best once the current ones leave. if you do this spiderman will never be in a bad movie and don't let the studios pressure you. The trailer was AMAZING! But I do wish it would have been like spiderman 2's trailer that one felt like it built up and up until you see harry take spideys mask off. I know theirs not a lot you can tell us but I'm wondering how long you think #3 will be. 3 hours I hope.
I trust every crew and cast member on this film. So no worrys just leave it in good hands when your done PLEASE!
-Future filmmaker, Alex

Hey Grant. Who is Eddie Brock(topher grace) supposed to be in this movie. Cause in the comics isnt he supposed to be venom. Are u planning on making eddie brock in maybe a 4th one. Because I know in the comics. Symbiote poses as spidermans black costume for a while, trying to attach itself perminately. But end up being drawn to eddie brock and then attached itself permanetly to him. Anyways I think the trailer is off the hizzy and I cant wait to see the movie. Thanks so much-Kaden

Hi Mr Curtis. Love the movies and the weblog. Number 3 is sure to be the best of the series. I only wonder one thing thats been bothering me for a while. Will Venom be a main villian, in the sense that we wont just see him for the final 15-20 minuts and the same with eddie brock's involvement? Thanks for all the hard work and great movies, pleassssseee don't say you can't answer the question! lol
Thank You

Hey Grant
Are you ever going to show those interviews about what people think of the spider-man movies, that the Sony booth took of people at SAN DIEGO Comiccon? Because I was wondering. My friends and I were a couple of the people that were interviewed. And if you do post them can you please please post mine! it would be an honor!
Thank you very much!

Hello Mr. Curtis my name id Brandon Shade and I am from your home town. I know your parents actually we go to the same church. I am going to film school at Fullsail and I was just wondering if you had any advice thank you very much

The Spider Man 3 trailer for HD was SWEET! Sam,dont change.

Hello! iam new to the spiderman 3 weblog but i have a question Mr. Grant. Is venom going to fight spiderman in this movie or does he just show up at the end of the movie? I would really like to know. i am also a big spiderman fan and I can not wait to see this movie. its going to be great. I just hope i get to see venom fighting spiderman.

Hey Grant,
I love the movies. Plain and simple, the Spider-Man movies are the best super hero movies. Part of my reasoning of that, however, is because of my love for Spider-Man comics. If too much of the movie is different than the comics, then how can it still be Spider-Man?
I trust Raimi. And I believe that everything will work out in the end. But "Night Surfer"? Hobgoblin, Green Goblin, Demogoblin, Grey Goblin (The Other), and Jack'O'Lantern are all great choices for a name and existed in the comics. Even if Harry is only called "Goblin", it would be better then these rumours of "Night Surfer".
My hopes are very high for this movie. I plan to see it 20 times on opening day. But if it just ruins the comics or departs too far from them, many fans (myself included) will be disappointed. It may seem like a small detail, but bringing in a new character for no reason (when there are five to choose from) is an issue.

hey i love the new trailer and i can't wait for the movie to come out, my big question to you is, does the black suit come from space just like in the comics, if you can't answer i understand

Hello Mr Curtis I am a big fan of Spidey and thought the trailer was EXCELLENT!! I was literaly Crying tears of Joy, And i just had to ask you is Venom a main villain and will he have enough screen time? (unlike X-men 3)

I just watched the trailer and it looks amazing. I got goose bumps when spidey got blown throught the window on one side of the building and came flying out the other side.
Your movies are the epitome of what makes a great movie.
Kudos to you and your Team!
A Spidey fan for over 30 years...

-Will Norman Osborn be seen as a hallucination in this movie like he was in part 2?

-Will we see Dr.Connors turn into a Lizard at all?

-Will we see how and why Harry updates his costume, and equipment?

-What will be Harry's villain name in this movie?

Hey Grant!!!, thanks a lot for this blog, I just wanted to say that spidey rules and that the new trailer is awsome!!! I've seen it like a thousand times, even in slow motion just to see if I catch any new clue. Can we wait for anything new soon? calmontoya from Colombia.

Hey Mr. Curtis i just wanted to ask you a couple questions is their going to be a fourth spider-man, and is their a premiere midnight event for the third one? Thanks ang tell Sam Raimi that i said hi.

I enjoyed the trailer, but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. Nothing was really selling me. No Venom? Venom is represented in this movie by an angry Parker (who's suit seems to come from some organic chemical he secretes, probably a side effect coming out from his radiation). Sandman doesn't seem to have the strength to hold the movie, and Osbourne, well, I hope he's more compelling. I know a lot of people are feeling this way (everywhere but here apparently), so maybe you can comment?

My only question at this point is will Venom have the white spider.

Hey there, im sure you have no time so i'll keep this short. have a cppl questions thats been nagging me.
1. how far along is venom in the completion process.
2. when might we see an actual official shot of venom?
3. can you give any hints on how long or how many fights, or you know anythign really on venom?
4. whats up with harry? is he a brand new villain?
5. do you have any idea what the running time they are shooting for is?
6. also i know its premature, but any news on dvd features??
thanx so much for taking the time. and by the way the trailer was amazing, and i have no doubt this movie is going to rock all kinds of ass lol

Hi there Grant,

Just wanted to say cheers for being such a good sport and maintaining this blog. I couldnt believe the amount of questions you answered in your last post. I work in the industry myself and it's really refreshing to see a producer so willing to talk to the fans.

I'm loving what I'm seeing sofar. I've always dreamt of one day seeing a cinematic Venom and the fact that it's happening just blows my mind, I can't wait.

Please dont kill him off though, okay? he deserves to stick around for another film.

Keep up the good work.

Hi Curtis, writing you from Hawaii.
If a 4th or possibly 5th film appears will you folks be dealing with other Spidey villains? Like say, Kraven the Hunter? The 6th story arc where he "killed" Spiderman (black costume) is one of my favorite Spiderman stories. I also liked how it involved Vermin the mutant under the city.If I recall correctly it even had some Morlocks.
It's probably too early to consider Carnage as a villain. Best I think to work with the classics first? Anyhow thoroughly enjoyed the new trailer and Hobgoblin.

i am a big fan of the spider-man series, but i think this is the hands down best one yet. i cant waitto see it. if they make a fourth one i hope they put carnage in it.

hey mr.curtis well unfortunatley i was not able to see the trailer so i feel pretty down cuz of that because ive been looking forward to seeing another glimpse at spidey but i missed it but im sure it was very very cool....is it going to be able to be seen through quicktime sometime soon???

Hey Mr.Curtis, I was wondering what they used to do all of the special FX in Spider-Man. The effects in the trailer are really neat.

Okay, so I really want to see this movie, but I'm a little confused. In the movie trailer for Spider-Man 3 the detective or who ever told Peter and Aunt May that Flint Marko was the person that really killed Ben Parker. In the first Spider-Man I thought it was the car jacker that killed Ben. The Police Officer even said "Car jacker he's been shot." Is there going to be some sort of flashback or something?

Does anyone know when and where they will do the spiderman 3 premiere?

aswsome trailer!!! You guys r doin a great job keep it up. just try to speed up the arrival dates.- jorge

I'm really excited about Spider-man 3 since I knew they where going to make the thrid one. But I do have one question will we see Venom himself? The reason I ask is because in the new trailer it looks like its only focusing on Peter with the suit, and they don't show a shot of Venom. Is the trailer doing that for suspense or is that what the movie is only focusing on is the black suit and his inner struggle?

Out of interest, when you were animating Spider-Man, did you actually use any mo-cap, or was it all hand animated? Great work on the trailer, the Sandman looked awesome. :)

Dear Grant,

Thank you for answering some of our question and being in contact with all the mad spidey fans. As there are many other posts to be answered I just want to make a brief comment and ask a question.

Why is everybody so obsessed with Venom? I believe there should not be so much of him in this movie. There is so much story to be told on the other 2 villains that I believe trying to fit them all in a 140min movie will have a bad result. (Please stop mixing Harry Osborn to Hobgolin!!! Hobbie is a completely different enemy!!). As far as I am aware the only thing left to complete the S3 movie are the CG effects but please think about it!!

This leads to my question: As far as I noticed you keep avoiding to answer whether there will be a 4th, 5th etc installment or not. I do not know why that is but I am sure that 40 years of spider-man comics can produce at least 6 movies without making anybody fed up. Suggestively some good villains to be adapted on a screen play could also be Electro, Mysterio, the Jackal (that could be linked with Gwen and the clone of Spidey), Lizard, Carnage. Please make a comment on that. I just ask for your opinion and maybe the feeling you get from being a part of the production of whether something more is being considered.

Sam, Tobey, Grant and everybody else there is soooo much more to tell!! Please do not let this be the last and please don’t squeeze every villain in this movie!

Truly anticipating for S3.

Truly anticipating for your answer and comments Grant.

The sincere Spidey fan from Athens, Greece,

Dionysis

Hey Grant! How are ya? Is everything on Spiderman 3 running smoothly? If so then thats good cuz i dont think i could handle a push back on the date of release! Id have heart failure......along with everyone else im sure. Just checking in and hope everything is well with the Spidey Crew and the actors! Good luck on the book! Cant wait to lay my eyes on it....P.S. When do you think the Spiderman 3 posters be available to the public? I need to complete my collection!

Your faithful fan
~Shaun

Hi Grant. I’m from England and am a great Raimi fan. I just love his visual style of directing. He is the best! Having all his movies and the spider-man films being my favourite. I stayed up to 3 in the morning to watch the trailer. It sent shivers up my spine and I then fell asleep. Strange I know – but instead of boring you I would like to ask a question. How have the spider-man movies affected you? And what is your favourite experience within making the movies?

Hi grant , what is venom going to look like?

Thanks for all the info! Really appreciate what you're doing. I'm very excited.

Just wondering -- towards the release of the film next year, should I be on the lookout for any early screenings? I'll probably see it more than once, of course, but how awesome would it be to be a part of an early screening audience?

Thanks!

hello there Grant

im carlos and im from mexico, as you can imagine im very excited about that great film and i just want to know if it is going to continue after the thirth part
OK thanks for read me and i hope to you answer this letter

wow.. i cant waiting for the spiderman movie to come out.. i have been waiting for the spiderman movie 3 .. haha . i have been a great fan of spiderman .. its goin to be exciting.. haha..

Hello Grant, thanks for the reply to my previous message, I can imagine the time and effort it must take for you to do this and it is much appreciated! I just have one quick question, I was wondering how Venom will sound. Will there be some sort of effects added to Tophers voice for when he is Venom, I asume he wont just talk in Tophers natural voice, or will there be another voice actor that will play "the voice of Venom"?

I'm a little bit worried about all the black and normal spiderman colors. This will be a very important part of the story.

Will there be a big difference on screen? For us, colorblind people, it is, sometimes, very difficult to make the difference.

Thank you for your concern.

when will we actually see venom?
either footage or wallpapers??

Hi Mr. Curtis.
I've read every comic about spiderman, and practically worshipped him since I was just a little kid. I love him.
I have a question though. Is it possible that Carnage and his symbiote spawn Toxin will be present in any consecutive spidey movies?
Thanks for being loyal to your likewise loyal fans!

great epic, can't wait to see SM3. Venom is awesome but hope to see Carnage in the future if there are more to come

Hey Grant,
Is the fourth movie going to have th real possessed-alien Venom that we all know and cringe at? I really like that character because of his pointy teeth and oversized lower jaw. I think that Venom would be an incredibly impressing CGI character, even if it is just CGI from the shoulders up (if you haven't thought about it already, which I'm sure that you have). I absolutely loved the last two Spider-Man's, and I know that this one is going to be 100 times better.

WOW!!!! the Spider man 3 trailer is amazing. Sand man looks pretty cool and so does the black costume. I wonder if Venom looks the same as in the comics. and i also wonder if carnage is around to fight a little with venom. well thanks for reading this and good luck with the movie development and stuff.

I have got to say that this is the most awaited movie of my life!!! It looks so good. You guys have created a beautiful story with Spider-Man and I really think that this next one will blow my mind. The characters are so developed and they work together so well, it's amazing. It was my birthday on November 10th, and I came here on the 9th to see that there was a new Spider-Man trailer!! It was an awesome birthday present!!!! I came right when they were showing it on TV, I don't watch TV much, and I missed it, but I've seen it now so many times...I can play it back in my head right now. I would just like to say thanks for the present (although it wasn't intentional) and I would like to say thanks for replying to these comments that we leave, oh, and by the way, I LOVED the trailer, good work so far Grant!!! You and your team are the best!!! One little question, if it's alright to ask, when can we expect to see the next Spider-Man trailer? If you can't say right now it's okay, I was just wondering. Do well with the production, I know you guys are doing your best!!!

hi i was wondering when there might be a trailer for the 4th film grant i am a realy big fan of spiderman, loved the second film and first but my second and last question would be (if you reply) is why is there such a long time between the release of the second film and the third film ? have a good weekend
james

is edie brock going to be venom? plz answer me! its very important i love venom! he is so cool and strong.

hi
i am a massive spideyfanand love all of the spidey movies!!! most of all i love venom! i cant wait till 2007! i want it now!

Is this the begining of venom?

Hi Grant.
I wanna say how amazing this blog and how great it is for you to devote your precious time for all spidey fans.
I was an extra in New York, cant say I saw you there tho. I just wanted to commend the crew on an amazing job, i watched filming for a week(on my vacation no less) and Sam was nothing other than wonderful and charming. He noticed I was a regular observer, always said hello and just let me hang around. He and the cast and crew gave me the experience of a lifetime. So thanks anyone who was in NY that made me love movies and spidey a whole lot more.
I also wanna say that a lot of people seem worried about multiple villains, but i am not. i was introduced to spidey through sam's movies, and from the looks of the trailer there is still going to be a lot of the emotion that carried the story in the last two. i love these movies because of how they are an emotional drama with the action appropriately placed to keep everyone happy. so people please do not wory. i believe this movie is gonna be the best of the three. ill be happy with more movies, but they might not beat this one.
good luck with the post-prod, and i look forward to may 4.

First the movie is off the hook! I'm feeling this one....the Venom thing was brought a lil differently but I'm feeling the overall thesis of what we are witnessing with The Webhead...good job and keep em coming!!! Holla!

WILL VENOM BE IN SPIDER-MAN 3?WILL BE SPIDER-MAN 4?

Hey, I just wanna say that I'm a huge fan and that I can't wait to see Spiderman 3.... but I'm really confused because they say venom is in it and there is nothing in the previews showing venom, unless they are just referring to the black suit as being venom, but I'm talking about the infamous venom that is spidey's greatest foe!!!?? is he actually in the movie or not? I have to know and if he is why haven't they showed him? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Hey Grant! When will we see Venom? And when is Carnage in a movie? Can you show these villans in a trailer plz?Thx.

I just have to say GREAT TRAILER!, I remember the days when they made a TV Show with Spiderman, yet it didn't last long on the tube...I wonder if we will something that come again as a series? Something like a Knightrider series which helps fans lead up to maybe a #4 movie?? Keep up the great work everyone. Can't wait for #3, I have both 1 and 2 on DVD..Cheers!

Interesting to note that there is no Venom in the new trailer whatsoever - only Eddie Brock! Are we to conclude from this that Venom will not be in the movie and perhaps that he will be the featured villain in Spider-man 4?

Oh also, if there is a Spider-man 4 will it be directed by Sam Raimi again? Previous super hero franchises have often been badly affected by a change in director/cast/scriptwriters etc. Here's hoping that all the same people will remain on board to break the curse of the poor 4th movie i.e. Superman IV, Batman & Robin, The Phantom Menace!

spiderman looks great when will the comic-con trailer release so we can see venom?

The movie WILL be great....I know it will...but umm one comment...or I mean quetion..why didnt u change the cotume for spider man??? saw in the trailer that the costume is the same just black and i think just a lil bit bigger spider emblem....personaly i think it sould have been made the same as in the cartoon....all black, w/o the webbing, and a big white spider emblem oh and those patches on top of his hands....why didnt u just do that? was the problem costs?

Hi...Im from Bali Indonesia.and I can't wait to see the spiderman 3 movie.I do always love spiderman especially tobby and kristen dunts. I love spiderman 1 n 2.will spiderman 3 gonna hot like before?

I finally saw the Amazing, Spectacular, Ultimate Spider-Man 3 trailer when I went 2 c the new James Bond movie last night & let me just say that Mr. Sam Raimi is the Gr8test superhero director ever! Every frame that flashed b4 my eyes filled me with adrenaline-charged excitement & the satisfaction of knowing that Spidey's source material was well translated to celluloid. From Peter's display of his enhanced Spidey agility, doing multiple back flips along the side of a building in the Black Alien Costume to the astonishing CGI fx shown when Peter yells horrifically as he struggles to rip his symbiote-covered Spidey suit from his body! Words truly can't describe how breathtaking this film is gonna be. After seeing the trailer, I feel that SM3 will be a tough act 2 follow even if Venom is n part 4,but I thought the same about SM2, so Sam, keep raising that bar. & Tobey, PLEASE b Spider-Man @ least until SM6 'cause u were born 2 OWN this role.

Where meeting a trailer with venom?

Hey Grant! (can i call you Grant? :) I'm a big fan of spidey (a french fan!) and i can't wait to see the whole movie, and i know Sam won't deceive anyone. The special effects are just incredible (especially sandman, of course, my mum saw the trailer and she was like WoOow!) and i had a great feeling watching this trailer cos you guys kept the best aspect of the spider-man movies, which is the relationship between the characters, i mean the emotionnal side. SM3 is just gonna be THE- BEST-MOVIE-EVER!! I know i won't like it, i will just loOove it!! But i hope that if there is a spider-man 4, it will be logical in the continuity of the whole story, don't you think Grant? Doesthe movie comes out earlier in France, or not?(cos i heard something like it's coming out on may 2nd) Please answer whenever you can, thanks!!

mr.grant
when we r goin to see..................."venom"!!!!

one word for the new Spider-Man 3 trailer: AWESOME!

Wow, this is just awesome, I honestly can't wait. I actually think this will be bigger then Harry Potter 5, even if Harry gets his first kiss. I will be one of the first to go watch this movie, I love every action character movie like Spiderman, X-Men, Batman, Fantastic 4, and can't forget Superman. I'm 110% sure this will top all the action character movies of all time, I just watched the trailer and noticed only 163 days left until it comes out, I'll be waiting for it :). Mason

Hi, Curtis
I am kiran. From India.

First trailer was amazing and the second force me to believe that this will kick all the records in worldwide even in our India.
done good job.
I am too excited to watch movie in IMAX and in other movie theater again and again.

I hope in the next trailer I going to see spider-man vs venom.

Kiran Parjapati

I love Spiderman I cant wait until spiderman 3 comes out.
after i saw the trailer i had a view of what might happen numbers 4 and 5

I absolutely love the SPIDER-MAN films and SPIDER-MAN 3 looks to be the best yet. I really hope that Venom gets a good amount of screen-time and seriously, is there like someway to get a FREE SPIDER-MAN 3 T-Shirt, Poster or some kind of merchandise?? Write back and to all who make the films possible, ROCK ON!!!

HI, Grant
First of all, sorry for my english, I'm from Brazil.
My question isn't exactly about the movie, is about the game, the Spider-Man 3 Game. When will we get some news?
And one more thing, it will be released for PS2 and Xbox too?
You guys are doing an amazing job.

Thanks for everything.

Hey, Grant! Happy Thanksgiving. I'm a HUGE fan of spiderman and his movies. Is venom definatley in the movie? And I heard on MTV.com that Spiderman 4 was confirmed. Is this true?

Hi,great movie.....may i wonder what type of villian are there?i only knew sand man....And IF you can...try add more villians on spider man 4 ok?Great movie.I can't wait to see the spiderman 3 movie..

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE SPIDERMAN!!! I have a spiderman 3 background on my computer and I also have spiderman folders, stickers, bookmarks, etc. I also drew him for an art project. I love him! <3 haha. I also really love Venom!! He is an awesome villan! Ahhh I am so excited!!!

Hey Grant,
Great job on all the movies - I love them! But I wanted to say that I'm SO excited to have a film with both Tobey Maguire and Topher Grace in collaboration. It's going to be amazing...! Yet I wonder, if Sam Raimi does decide to make a S-M4, he couldn't possibly think of replacing our terrific trio: Maguire, Dunst, and Franco; all rumored to decline a fourth film?
Thanks and Keep Up the Good Work,
Spidey90

ps- Happy Thanksgiving!

cool!!
i'm so excited' i can't wait to see the movie. i'm hopping that venom gonna have a big part of the movie and not a part of 10 minuts. you think that they are gonna do spider-man 4 movie??
i think that the 4 will be the continue of 3/

Grant, I went to high school with you (a year behind) and just recently learned of your role with the Spiderman movies through a mutual friend. Continued success and blessings to you and yours. Jason Haag

hi! spiderman is just the greatest marvel superhero. can't wait to see spiderman 3 on theaters. oh, and i love the new venom suit!

if there is a Spider-Man 4. I hope Venom is the main character, but not just that Carnage will be in it as well. cuz if you have Venom you must have Carnage.

Hello Mr. Curtis. I LOVE the Spider-Man Movie Franchise but I am worried that Sam is cramming too many things into this movie. I am really exited about Venom being in the movie. But I am worried there is so many things in this movie that Venom will be in it for only a short while. I have been waiting for Venom to be in one of the movies. I am just not sure how Venom will fit into a movie that has so many things happening. I still have faith in Sam ( THE MAN). I was just wondering if you could tell me (please) about how long the movie is. ( if not I understand) "
Please tell me because my 12 year old brother's birthday is on May 4th and he is most exited about Venom. Remember I still have faith in Sam and the rest of you in making the BEST MOVIE EVER!!! Thank you Mr. Curtis and good job with Spider Man 3, consider me exited.

Sincerely Alexis Fandino

P.S. I just saw the trailer and I just have to say one word about it,AMAZING!!!

Hi Grant its Lee again. I know at this time you can’t answer any questions regarding Venom. Who is my second favourite villain!

But Sandman is my favourite. And I have to say after seeing the footage I have seen. I am VERY pleased. He looks great!! You can see every grain of sand! Also I think it’s great that you are doing so many things at once just for this picture, co-producing, writing this book and answering our questions. I am very grateful for your hard work all for one picture. So thank you.

Anyway my question is: How difficult was it to bring the Sandman character to the screen? Regarding special effects and the actor to portray him. I understand new technology was created specifically for this film. I am guessing this is because of Sandman! (yay sandman!!).

Thanks for your time!

Hi Mr Curtis, my english is not very good vicos im from mexico, but im going to do my best, and i was thinking are they gona put vemon in this film or its only an opening for a 4th part that will have venom? I love Spiderman more than anyone. i am so happy that a nother spiderman is coming. I am so happy. spiderman is all over on my wall and my Bed he is so hot

I can't wait to see Spiderman 3. I'm getting married on May 7th, and our only plan for the honeymoon so far is to visit the theater to see the greatest movie of the summer!

Dear Mr.Curtis,
First off I want to say hello and thank you and Sam Raimi for
bringing the spider-man moives to us the loyal fans. Though I
looking forward to seeing number 3, I hope that in Spider-Man 4
that it would not just be Peter Parker having his love for MJ but
his costumed alter ego would have a complated interest like
Black Cat. I hope that she would be in no.4 and that actress
Scarlet Johnsson would be a perfect choice to play the character
I think with Tobey and Kirsten and hopefully Topher Grace if his
character returns I think it would be interesting casting. I hope
this happens for number four. Thank you for your time and good luck.

Hey Captain Curt,

When are you gonna bring in Rhino i think he is the only villian who is not in these movies...Rhino should be in the movie even if it is in a small role i really expected to see him early on in the movies even before or around the same time as the sandman...don't get me wrong i am excited about venom but i wanna hear....I'mz gonna squash ya like a bug spidey man

I can wait to see this movie on May 4th because that's the day I going to pay my sister's early graduation present and she loves spider-man movies more than anything and she's graduating from high School

Hey Mr. Curtis,

I've been wondering ever since Raimi talked about how Harry's character won't necessarally be either the green goblin or the hobgoblin in the film at comic-con, if Harry will ever be referred to as a goblin. Will he ever be officially titled "The Goblin" or will he just be referred to as Harry?

hello Mr. Curtis i have one qwestion for you the 4th villan is it any relasion to any villans in any of the spiderman movies?

hello Mr.curtis i was wondering will venom actually be in the 3rd as a villian or will it be a cliff hanger and show him but save him for the 4th installment

VENOM, BABY WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO

Hi Mr. Grant I was just wondering about Bruce Campbell in this film, I am his biggest fan EVER and if you ever get the chance to tell him the and give him my name and e-mail that would be so GROOVY.(Im not kidding about telling him all that...only if you get the chance and if you remember) but anyway im wondering, is his part bigger then from the first two movies? Thats all i have to say so stay groovy and dont foget to tell Bruce Campbell haha. -----Kevin Hader

This movie is going to be terrific!I know you cant give away anything right now,but when will you start having spiderman 3 merchandise? Also when will you show Venom entirely?

Hi again Grant, thanks for doing this blog. Did you get my other email about the music for Spiderman? Anyway i was just wondering about Venom. But does teh actor who plays venom get much screen time in the movie because obviously venom will be CG....i think..

Also i was wondering what youre main jobs towards the movies are and do you get involved a lot?

Thanks very much Grant and keep up the good work mate! Roll on May 4th!

Hi, i'm a huge fan of Spiderman, I just wanted to say great job on the movies there awesome, keep up the good work, can't wait till May 4th. I hope that Venom get a lot of screentime on the movie, that would be great, Oh! and i was recently reading a review on Spiderman 3 characters and I noticed that Dylan Baker is in the movie playing as Dr. Curtis Connors, in the comics Curtis Connors later becomes into Lizard, are you planning on installing Lizard in the other movies, cause that would be awesome, anyway keep up the good work, and comment back...Later

Spider-Man 3 looks "Amazing"! I can't wait any longer! I am totally obessed over Spider-Man and Venom!! I am the one to tell my friends the info on the series and latest news on the comics. When do you think they will have more info on the movie such as: pics, info on villains, etc.?

im studying style and entertainment marketing right now and spider-man 3 was said by my teacher to be one of the greatest trailers in the sense of making the viewer want to come see the movie. its action packed, intense, and does not want to make you look away.

Is Venom going to be the main villain of the film?

Hi,Mr.Curtis.I was just wondering,if you guys make a fourth movie, maybe you guys can put Carnage and Vemon in it together and let them fight eachother while they try to kill spidey,if Venom or Eddie don't die in the 3rd movie.

OK...i ask you about why is wrong put in the storyline the character /Killer of Uncle Ben. This is wrong and please be gentle and response this.
