these posters look awsome. i really like what they did to the black suit for the movie. i've been looking forward to seeing the black suit story in the spiderman movies. i just don't get when peter has the black suit on and he still sees himself in his reflection as the normal red and blue spiderman. what ever it means i don't care these movie will be the greatest movie in the UNIVERSE!!! I love the new poster's, they really represent the conflict with in Peter/Spidey. They remined me of of ying and yang and how they go together and coincide as one. they are like the hero version of that symbol.

I think their trying to being alive the dream peter had on the cartoon/comic when he first got the suit and he saw his old self in the glass while seeing the black suit on himself when looking at his outfit *looking down at it*. Showing that the one in the glass is his real self and the costume is something else. Dun Dun Dun.... hehe

(This is a long post, hope you don't mind) These posters are just amazing. It feels almost as if there were more than just ink on the poster. I can almost see the struggle that Peter Parker/Spider-Man is having by looking at theses posters. The reason that it is his black suit then his red and blue suit in the reflection, or vise versa, is because it is showing the battle that he has to fight within. They are very iconic. It's also interesting how the Sun is usually in the background of these posterrs of Spider-Man. I have noticed this with the other two movies posters as well. I will be looking forward to how he deals with his life in this movie and what decisions he has to make. These movies have such great stories, it's not just about the super hero, there is a character to which everyday people can relate to with examples from their everyday lives. It's truly a great accomplishment. The last two movies were incredible, but I believe that this one should take the cake though. I am awaiting anciously for May 4th, 2007 to come!!! This is the most antisipation I have ever had for a moive!!!! I know that you guys are working your butts off to bring us one of the best, if not the best, movie ever. Kudos to all you guys working on this film, from the producers to the people who put the makeup on, you all are doing a good job and I hope you have a good production!!! I'll post again some other time when some more good news comes out, so far these last few months have been exciting. The trailer, the sneak peek, these posters, and you answering our comments and questions when you have the ability. Thank you guys for your work. God Bless.

P.S. Do you know when the webisodes will be available in Canada? I live in Canada and I can't get them at the moment. Also, when is the next trialer of Spider-Man coming out? I am awating to see what new developments you guys have done on the VFX and the sound effects. Is it coming out in February with the new Ghostrider movie? If so, can't wait. Also, how do you relate yourself to the Spider-Man movies and/or what part about them do you like the most? I know that you love working with big names and people in the industry who have worked on big projects before and who are the best at what they do, but what has drawn you to do these movies? I..like many others, am concerned about the inaccurate reflection in these posters. Spidey has "Two" left legs coming out of his torso??? Is this supposed to be the way the posters are? Many of us are confused on how something this obvious could be missed. Thanks! =)

dude there is no way this can be the last spiderman movie nor will spiderman die. People make me mad that just suddenly get onto the Spiderman fling. Spiderman goes on forever past the venom series. To say he is going to die off till a next generation of kids would be stupid. What will they do in 20 years from now? the maxiumum carnage series or even an xman/spiderman unity movie. No one will freaken no. Punisher is even in spiderman. Hell the whole marvel comics comes across spiderman somehow so the movies can just go on forever but just don't ruin them. Keep the story going and much as possible and forever the fans will stay. Captain America is a surprise to me in why that hasn't been out cause of the whole patriotic era we live in but who knows. I am sure though spidey eventually crawls his web towards black cat too so well see sometime in the future.

Hey Grant, these posters are awesome. I was just wondering, if anyone took notice to that venom footage from that previous "sneak peek" posted on the blog in november? We got to see venom's face did we not? That more or less spilled out what he was going to look like, did it not? These are some great posters! I was hoping a villain though. Grant this is going to be the best movie ever and I've never been this excited to see a movie besides Toy Story 2 when I was a we lad. The movies going to be great, have fun with it!

Spider-Man's other self is not actually reflected across the glass, it is simply a hallucination, if you are looking at it from the persective of Spider-Man himself. The suit causes Spider-Man to have these hallucinations. Also, if you are not looking at it from the persepective of our hero, then it is simply a metaphorical tool used by the film makers to show the internal conflict that is occuring inside Spider-Man.

This new poster is great! I put it on my screen.

I just have to throw this out there....for everyone that is nit-picking on the new posters, rain reflection this, 2 left legs that, etc....stop! First and foremost, last time i checked the ones that make these posters are professionals, and we are not. I think they would notice 2 left legs(i don't see it). And for the comment of the rain should be falling in a different direction....think about it, before you speak. The rain is BEHIND the "real" spiderman, it's called depth. the rain in the reflection is the rain that is coming down in front of that building, hence the rain would be reflected in the same direction. Sorry for the rant, but come on, it's really not that hard to understand. Get out of your basement and learn common sense.

the posters look great but my only reservation is that the third movie is going to be a transitional story for Venom. All the trailers show alot of scenes with the black suit on Spidey but there has been no hint of Brock and his connection to the suit. Here's to hoping!

For all you rocket scientists out there,(no pun intended) the fact that the Black Alien Costume casts a reflection of the classic one is a no brainer! The creative genius behind this suggests, as said b4, that 1: Peter has a battle within, 2: like in vampire movies, evil has no reflection, & 3: it just down right looks cool! & about the rain, metaphorically speaking, 4 those who 4got their nursery rhymes, ''Down came the rain & washed the 'Spider' out.'' Hmmm... I think I have a point about the whole Spider symbol on Venom's back... What's everyone else think?

You can see his "other self" because the poster itself is a metaphor... Its a dichotomous reference to the duality within... As you see one, the other is there to represent the inner battle within himself. I mean, even this concept in sorts is played with in the movie... as spider man looks at himself in the mirror and sees the red spider man costume, as he's donning the black one.

My advice... take it as just a cool poster man, its all good.

gerald anderson its true evil has no reflection yeah but were does it show that he sees himself in his symbiote costume on the mirror reflection where ??? cause when spidy/peter is sleeping the alien s combines with him then he wakes up upside down facein a mirror glass type on a buliding and he sees himself in his good normal costume so it proves it that evil cant be show on mirror

this is an answer for Eddie, it shows his other self in the reflection beacuse in the comics it was commonly shown how he was a different person when he was wearing the black suit, so for the movie poster it is showing who he is and who he was

I think this movie will rock ,I really like Tobey's performance in previous versions ,watching his innocent acting is a real treat to watch.

Yeah! everything is just great but since the first movie show up on theatres the only thing i dislike about was the eyes of Spidey, i mean the greates suit of spiderman was with thouse big white eyes, it really looks veri cool. Plus, in the original history the black suit was made with a big white spider on the chest, so my point is, why to change? tath really looked great. . i hope you guys try to change to original way. . regards!

They are OK, however higher resolution versions will be appreciated. Right now, 400x594 simply doesn't satisfy...

Secondly, the symbiote suit is not as terrifying as the version in the comics. As a long term Spider-Man fan (over 25 years), I am very disappointed by this interpretation of the symbiote. It needs to be several shades darker and it needs to have a much bigger white spider logo, with legs that stretch all the way to the back, on the front and back. This version looks like a cop-out: simply spraying the red suit black. Disappointing, like finding a lawnmower engine in your Ferrari.

I heart Spiderman, BUt I hope SM3 doesn't try to cram too many things into one movie and please don't do an ending like Pirates 2 did...that was terrible. As for SM4?
